Abu Dhabi is set to welcome 2025 in grand style with the world’s largest fireworks display, organized as part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in the Al Wathba area. This breathtaking fireworks display will last an incredible 50 minutes, making it a historic spectacle.
The event will also feature a mesmerizing 20-minute drone show, involving 6,000 drones creating intricate aerial art in the sky. Through this dual display of fireworks and drones, Abu Dhabi aims to break six Guinness World Records, further cementing its reputation for hosting record-breaking celebrations.
This ambitious display follows the success of 2023, when a 40-minute fireworks show at the Sheikh Zayed Festival set three Guinness World Records for the longest display, largest formation, and highest quantity of fireworks used. That event also showcased a stunning aerial logo created by 5,000 drones, setting another world record.
As Abu Dhabi prepares to outdo itself with this year’s celebration, residents and visitors alike can expect an unforgettable start to the new year, with innovation and artistry lighting up the night sky.
