The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will soon begin the formal process of retrieving historical evidence and documents related to the Ram Mandir movement that were deposited with the Supreme Court during the temple–mosque dispute case. Once received, these records will be preserved and displayed in the museum being developed within the Ram temple complex in Ayodhya.
This information was shared by Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra on Sunday. He said that since there is no longer any legal challenge to the Supreme Court’s verdict, the trust will write to the court requesting the handover of the documents and archaeological evidence.
Mishra noted that the Supreme Court’s historic verdict in favour of the Ram temple was based on evidence uncovered during Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) excavations, all of which is currently stored securely with the apex court.
Meanwhile, construction of the International Ram Katha Museum is progressing at a fast pace, with civil work nearing completion. Mishra added that the Hi-Tech Hanumanji Gallery is expected to be completed within the next two months and is likely to open for devotees by March 2026.
The museum will feature 20 thematic galleries, for which scripts have already been prepared. These galleries will showcase historical events, cultural narratives, and facts related to Lord Ram. The task of equipping the museum with state-of-the-art technology has been entrusted to IIT Chennai, and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the temple trust and the institute.
In addition, Mishra revealed that rare and ancient copies of the Ramayana, written in various languages from India and abroad, will be installed on the second floor of the Ram temple, adding to its cultural and historical significance.
