Dalmia Bharat Q1 FY27 Results: Revenue and EBITDA Grow, But Profit Drops Sharply Due to Exceptional Loss

New Delhi: Dalmia Bharat Limited reported its financial results for the first quarter of FY27, delivering steady revenue growth and improved operating performance. However, the company’s net profit declined sharply because of a significant exceptional loss recorded during the quarter.

The cement major posted revenue of ₹3,890 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹3,636 crore in the same quarter last year, registering a 6.99% year-on-year (YoY) increase. On a sequential basis, revenue declined 8.36% from the previous quarter.

EBITDA Shows Healthy Growth

Dalmia Bharat’s EBITDA increased to ₹805 crore from ₹763 crore a year ago, reflecting a 5.50% YoY rise. Compared with the previous quarter, EBITDA improved by 7.63%, indicating stronger operating efficiency.

The company’s EBITDA margin stood at 20.69%, slightly lower than 20.98% in Q1 FY26 but significantly higher than 17.62% reported in Q4 FY26, highlighting an improvement in operational profitability on a sequential basis.

Profit Before Tax Impacted by Exceptional Item

Before accounting for exceptional items, Profit Before Tax (PBT) came in at ₹436 crore, down 13.15% YoY from ₹502 crore. Sequentially, PBT declined 3.11%.

During the quarter, Dalmia Bharat reported an exceptional loss of ₹182 crore, compared with an exceptional gain of ₹16 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. In Q4 FY26, the exceptional loss stood at ₹10 crore.

This one-time charge significantly impacted the company’s overall profitability.

Net Profit Falls Over 52%

After including the exceptional loss, reported PBT dropped to ₹254 crore, compared with ₹518 crore in Q1 FY26, marking a 50.97% YoY decline.

Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹188 crore, down sharply from ₹393 crore in the same quarter last year, representing a 52.16% YoY decline. Sequentially, PAT also fell 51.42%.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) declined to ₹10.02, compared with ₹20.94 in Q1 FY26 and ₹20.77 in the previous quarter.
