ACC Q1 FY27 Results: Profit Slumps 61% as Revenue and Margins Weaken

ACC Limited reported a weak set of financial results for the first quarter of FY27, with revenue, operating profit, and net profit declining sharply on both a year-on-year (YoY) and quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis. The company’s profitability came under pressure due to lower revenue and weaker operating margins.

Revenue Declines as Demand Remains Soft

ACC’s revenue fell to ₹5,808 crore, marking an 8.22% decline from the same quarter last year. Sequentially, revenue also dropped 17.85%, reflecting softer sales and seasonal weakness in the cement business.

Operating Performance Weakens

The company’s EBITDA declined 35.57% YoY to ₹500 crore, while the EBITDA margin contracted to 8.61% from 12.26% in the corresponding quarter last year. The margin decline indicates higher cost pressure and lower operating leverage.

Profit Falls More Than 60%

ACC reported Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹200 crore, down 64.48% YoY, after accounting for an exceptional loss of ₹24 crore.

Net profit (PAT) stood at ₹147 crore, compared with ₹376 crore in Q1 FY26, representing a 60.90% decline YoY. Earnings per share (EPS) also dropped sharply to ₹7.83.

The Q1 FY27 results highlight a challenging quarter for ACC, with declines across revenue, operating profit, and net profit. Lower sales, weaker margins, and exceptional expenses weighed on earnings. Investors will now watch for improvements in cement demand, pricing, and cost efficiencies over the coming quarters.
