India Slams Pahalgam terror attack Pakistan at UN After Terror Admission by Khawaja Asif
Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated following the Pahalgam terror attack, and India has taken a decisive stand at the United Nations. In a powerful statement, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Yojana Patel, exposed Pakistan’s longstanding involvement in supporting terrorism, calling it a “rogue state” on the global stage.
This comes in the wake of Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s shocking admission in a televised interview, where he confessed that Pakistan has supported, trained, and funded terrorists for decades, including acting on behalf of Western powers.
A Global Wake-Up Call: India’s Response
Speaking at the Victims of Terrorism Organisation Network (VOTN), Ambassador Patel remarked:
“This confession is no surprise. It exposes Pakistan’s dirty face as a promoter of global terrorism. The world can no longer stay blind to these realities.”
She also criticized Pakistan for misusing international forums to spread misinformation and baseless accusations against India, especially after the recent killing of 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The Controversial Statement by Khawaja Asif
In the interview, when questioned about Pakistan’s role in terrorism, Khawaja Asif admitted:
“We have been doing this dirty work for America and Western powers for the last 30 years.”
This statement has triggered embarrassment for Pakistan on the global front and reinforced India’s long-standing claims about cross-border terrorism.
India Thanks Global Community for Support
India thanked the international community for standing united in condemning the Pahalgam attack. The support, Patel stated, shows the world’s zero tolerance for terrorism.
“The Pahalgam attack is one of the worst after 26/11. India has been a victim of cross-border terrorism for decades and understands the deep scars it leaves.”
WOTN: A Global Support Network for Terror Victims
India welcomed the formation of WOTN (Victims of Terrorism Organisation Network), a platform designed to support terrorism victims and raise global awareness.
“WOTN is a crucial step to create a structured, safe space for victims of terrorism. India believes such initiatives are vital to strengthen our global response.”
