On April 26, 2025, PM Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals across various central government departments during the 15th edition of the Rozgar Mela. The event was conducted simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide via video conferencing.
PM Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to employment generation, emphasizing that the youth are the foundation of the nation’s progress. He noted the increasing participation of women in various sectors, citing that three of the top five UPSC exam toppers this year are women. Additionally, over 90 lakh self-help groups now encompass more than 10 crore women, reflecting their significant role in India’s development.
The Prime Minister also announced the upcoming World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 in Mumbai, aiming to provide a global platform for young creators in media, gaming, and entertainment. He reiterated that India remains the fastest-growing major economy, with rising employment opportunities across sectors.
The Rozgar Mela is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide meaningful employment opportunities and empower the youth to contribute to nation-building.
